Access denied for user ‘root’@’localhost’ (using password: NO)

You may get the error “Access denied for user ‘root’@’localhost’ (using password: NO)” when you try  to access mysql. This is a common issue. All you need to do to fix this, is restart  the mysql demon.

Try the following commands :

/etc/init.d/mysql stop
/etc/init.d/mysql start
